Title: Indirect Percussion ?

  Bill. You are probably gonna laugh when you see this question. For whatever reason I just can't get it. :-[ I know it has to be done to thin the point. When I try it, it just makes thing worse. Yesterday I took a chunk of flesh out of the side of my finger :( Does anyone have an easy tutorial. You know, Flint Knapping for Dummies ;D

first thing to learn with the indirect percussion is the angle is steeper than you think. once you get a feel for the angles you'll start knocking out some flakes. paleomanjims vids on youtube have some great indirect work .
