Here is my first attempt at a holmgaard, but think it is more along the lines of a molegabet (spelling). I named the bow "Adahy" meaning "lives in the woods"

Sweet... how about some stats?
Judging from the tension in your forearm I'll guess you're holding hmmmm 40 pounds?
Is there a prize for closest guess ;D

that's a nice looking bow, I'd also like to see some stats, i.e. draw weight and dimensions,
Very nice.
-
wow that looks sweet! I think you tillered it perfectly... Great job. :)
-
The bow is 66" NTN, it is 2" wide from the fades to the levers, and Del, you need to recalibrate......it is 43.5 at 26"..lol The levers at right at 14 inches, leaving a 15" working limb and a 9" handle

Nice Job! Yep that's a Møllegabet rather than a Holmegård design.
-
Sweet looking bow, nice job. Love the color. :)

Ah... but I was measuring in cat pounds O:) ::)
Actually, I was just try to emulate my old mentor a great guy (sadly long since passed) called Jim Butcher.
He looked like a grizzly bear and would act just about as gruff (but it was all show, he was a great laugh)
I took my first decent longbows (English Elm) into work to weigh as they had a big dial scale in the environmental lab.
He happened to meet me on the way in and took hold of the bow (unstrung), he placed one end against his foot and flexed it as if stringing it...
"Hmmm" he said and paused..." 60 pounds" he thrust the bow back at me and strode off.
That lunchtime I had the bow on the scale and slowly drew it back noting down the draw and weight as I slowly drew it back.
Finally I got to 28"...

...
Yup spot on 60 pounds. ;D

A great looking bow and great Tiller!

Thanks everyone. Well Del, you got it close enough for me.......great guess. I like the way it turned out, got to finish the handle up with some leather, and call it a shooter.
-
Looks good!

Thanks everyone.
-
if you got the urge to take more pictures of it, I for one would look at them.
Very nice.
-
