This is a bow my dad had just made and wanted me to post for him. We have been making Boo backed longbows for about 4 years. The last year i have been busy with work and other projects so he has been doing them on his own. This is his latest creation. He wanted to do something a little differant. He made the riser oversize so he could shape it and make it feel more like a Recurve, then he took the tips and flipped them up some. The Bow has a really sweet profile and feels really nice in the hand. The riser is made of Zebrawood with an accent strip of Redheart.

sweet, bow, and awesome tiller! thats a very cool and good looking handle
-
The bow is 64in ntn and 49#@28" . the core is Jataba and the belly lam is Argantine Osage
-
Very sweet bow you've got there.
I have one question, though. Have you had any bad experiences with making a gap in the backing material like you did on this bow? I can see it extends well past the fades but I've seen other bows like that that have blown up quite impressively. How do you make sure the ends don't lift at full draw?

Great job on a nice lookin' bow. I like it. God Bless

WOW! you guys do some great work there, ive got a handle glued up with zeebrawood and paduk in that same configuration, cool to see it in finished bow form...

Cool bow and excellent handle work.

Nice looking bow. Haven't heard from you in while. ;D I to would be concerned about cutting completely through the bamboo on the back of the grip.
-
That's a nice looking bow.
It makes my inner 3 year old say "Can I have that?"
-
I remember you . You're the guy who takes great pictures of great bows! This is obviously a super candidate for Laminated Bow of the Month
-
Lotta work there! Easy on the eyes for sure! ;)
-
Nice weapon! How thick and how long are the Osagestrips? Seem to be not too long and too thick, because the bammboo is back and bellly.
Regards Uwe

Thank for all the great complaments guys. The now is 64" ntn. The core is Jatoba. I want sure about cutting through the bamboo to shape the riser either. Made the riser on the larger side to make sure it wouldn't have any flex to to when being drawn , Haven't put but a couple dozen arrows through yet but plan on giving it a good workout this week to see how it holds up.

Can't say anything that's not been said before... beautiful bow! Your dad has a gift. I get the idea about the over-sized riser, allowing for the break in backing. Fingers crossed it stays sweet ;)
Any chance of a close-up pic of the tips please?
