a good looking hawk.  how does it hold an edge?  i tried making a couple knives out of rr spikes when i had a forge but couldn't get them hard enough to hold an edge for long.  most rr spike are low carbon steel but there are a few out there that are high carbon.

Thanks everyone, Pennhawk really did a great job on the head, alls I did was add the handle to it.

Chris,it is holding an edge pretty good so far, i have been playing with it for the past two days chopping up random pieces of wood and it is still sharp enough to open up the back of my hand when I was trying to make a leather sheath for it.  I was just holding a piece of leather against it and when i turned the handle around to measure the leather against the other side the blade grazed me across the back of my hand and cut me.  This thing is wicked sharp still.   :)

Chris (Pennhawk) knows how to run a forge. I have one of his folding knives and it holds a edge awesome.
