Here is one i just finshed up. I cut the tree last summer. This one is all sap wood. Very smooth to draw and shoot.

You should be happy, that one is nice.

Thanks Justin !
-
Lovely lines and curves on that one!!
-
Nice! Are you going to try and make a all heartwood bow or a heart/sap wood bow?
-
Nice...but lets see a better Money Shot...to much going on in that one...and a little far off too.......... ;D

Nice looking bow. Walnut is a very cool wood, did your hands turn purple working on it? Greg
-
Nice bow John. Can you shoot from either side?
-

Looks good John, but I'm with El D some close-ups would be nice eh :)
-
Thanks guys ! I know it's not the best "money" shot ::) I'll try and take one from the front deck tonight.
Pennhawk, yes it can be shot from either side.
Greg, no my hands didn't purple from working it, i ruffed this one out to floor tiller while it was still green then clamped it to my form for about a month, that worked pretty good. :)
Jeff, i'm going to try an all heart wood one, to much sap wod for a sap/heart wood combo, and i'm not going to try and chase a ring of this sap wood. :o

I gotta say, man, that looks just plain awesome.
That's the kind of thing where you look at it, and you say, "Yep, that's what a bow should look like."
Nice.
-
Thanks Orkraider, i've only been at this a couple of years, and every bow i keep learning something new.
It sure is fun to shoot a bow you have made ! ;D
-
Very nice, I like the braced profile a whole bunch. You did a fine job.
-
Good job, especially like the versatility of it, right or left handed. Neat, nice lines too.
