Title: James Parker 3-Piece Takedown
Post by: DanaM on March 10, 2010, 05:32:22 pm
I traded James for this sweet takedown, its bamboo backed and bamboo belly with three center lams.
Its 55#@28", I have it drawn about 26" in the picture. This bow is going to be a gift for my son. If you haven't seen James and Becca's creations
then you need to visit their website at huntworthyproductions.com

Thanks for the trade James and I hope to do business with you nextyear, I have my eye on a Vagabond now :)

If it weren't for me you wouldn't have that bow!  ::)  James called to ask if I had your address as he had lost it.  ;D  That is a beautiful takedown bow. Kyle should love it...I know I would!  ;D

There's an old saying, " to know us is to owe us". Just kidding, Dana. James called me but I don't remember if I was in Texas with or without my book or at home for a few days with it. But glad you have it, it is a great looking bow, and James said I needed one ,too. ;D

Dana:  James is making a Vagabond for me and I hope to pick it up at the Classic!  Really looking forward to seeing and trying it out.  Plan to use it in Canada this fall!  You have to watch the good ole boys (Chris and Eddie) as I think they are prejudiced about James bows!  Maybe I can watch you shoot your bow at Twin Oaks!  Joe

That does look beautiful.  Very nice and clean.  I'd love to be able to get bamboo down thin and even enough to utilize.  What are people using - a planer?

It is a very nice bow.  Not a big fan of the cut in shelf/glass bow look myself but certainly a well made bow

Might as well Don ;) :)

Parnell I believe he uses a beltsander to thin the boo down, drop him a PM and ask, James goes by robustus on the board
