This is one of my bows from our sapling bow tournament in the german bow forum " Fletchers corner"
Its a juniper selfbow
66,5" N/N
45# @ 26"
here i harvested the juniper ,

the rings, about 1,5" in diameter

the sapling:

cut into half, the tiny one in the middle is the becoming bow stave

The juniper didn't like it at all to dry quick and that happend to it : a deep and long crack

I filled the crack with epoxy and secured it with linen and cherrybark.

Thats just a Q&D spine tester, does not look nice or professional but it works and thats all i need ::)

@Keenan: thank you , you did post a real nice juniper bow i while ago...when i walked through the forest searching for good peace of wood i just remembered your lovely juniper bow as i passed them snowy Juniper trees. So , its your fault ;D ;)

A good full draw picture would round this set of pictures off nicely.
