Here is my sad attempt. Been awhile since I had a chance to knap. Still rusty, not that I was any good to begin with.
Some rhyolite and dacite that are gonna be blades and a sad rhyolite poit and my best effort today was a obsidian point.

Thanks. Felt good to be knappin again. Weather finally cooperated a little ;D
-
wow talk about working both ends of the spectrum. nice work dude.
-
You got that right. I did the dacite first and the obsidian last. The rhyolite I got out my fustration on in the middle.
-
TJ, they look darn good to me. My hat's off, to ya for beating those out of that Ryolite.
-
That took some adjusting :o Really like that Adena
-
Thanks. I kinda like beatin on some good old NC ryolite.
-
Thank you for naming it. I looked it up and dang it does look like an Adena. I didnt do it on purpose. That was going to be a knife blade. The tang was gonna be set in an antler. Cool I made an Adena ;D

Thanks Dana.

Good looking stuff there! I didn't read everything but is that some of that speckled rhyolite? All I got out of it was gravel...
-
Thanks. It is the speckled, and I have made a bunch of gravel out of it myself. I usually beat on it awhile and then leave it alone till I am in the mood to get aggrevated.
-
nice work. really like the rhyolite blade.
-
Thanks Jamie. I am happy with it also. I should have done some more fine work on it before I set it in the handle.
