Title: string nock glue?
Post by: Frode on February 15, 2010, 10:15:00 pm
Hi all,
I've seen some nocks formed on limb tips from cord or sinew here (Nomadic Pirates guava bow comes to mind) and in one of the TBB volumes, and although I imagine hide glue is probably the preferred method for sinew, what would you recommend on a nock formed from wrapped cordage or fiber?
Thanks,
Frode

I would use Titebond for that.

thinned down TB is what I use, it penetrates nicely in the fibers  ;)

Thanks guys!  I'm getting ready to try this out with some hemp cord, which I've used with TB III for handle wraps with good results, but those weren't under any stress.
