I think I'd have more luck shooting the point into the rock without breaking it...than I would doing that.
  Awesome Jamie.

thanks guys . was hoping i could finish it uptonight but didnt have time. need to dig through my antlers and find something i can make a better punch from anyway. hey shannon , thats crap , if anybody can do this its you.  ;D got a question for you too. any chance you can explain how you  get such good detail in your photos. i could have the best flaking patterns in the world but i cant get em too show up when i take a pic.

No flash, natural light is best.L et the light hit it on an angle. Rotate the piece till it looks right and take lots of shots.  For every one picture you see, I took 10 :-[

Damn, that's a nice shot.  Oh, sorry Jamie, that is neat as all get out. I want to get home so I can beat some rock. The wife said there is a box of Tallahatta and a box of Obsidian waiting on me. But I'll only have 4 days before I leave for Brazil when I get there.

That's looking real good Jamie, them are definantly head scratchers :). It's kinda like sculpting. I broke those other three blanks I had worked up yesterday. Each and every one of em had a hidden flaw running through about mid-ways. That's a hellava flake pattern on that one Shannon - beauty!

Awesome stuff! For the time I have been following PA discussion, I have seen several people say something like "Started beating on this rock and found a point in the middle of it."  Your creations put a whole new light on it. Makes it so anyone can see that their is a point in them there rocks.....   but is doesn't make it any easier to get 'em out.  Great work!

some kinda texas. gonna try another one tomorrow. the actual point section was to thick in the back for me to run decent flakes so its basically just shaped like a point. that bullseye is cool but it was concrette on the other side so i ended up with a stack and couldnt thin it anymore. i did get rid of most of the stach though. thank you.
