Hey primitivearchers,

my name is Rolf and I am from germany.
I like to build arrow with buffalo horn.
Here some pictures, I hope you like it.

I would love to see how you do that footing for the nocks?  Could you do a build along maybe?

you dont need a build along, only a tool like this  :D
The tool can be made of two hardwood boards.
With a fretsaw you can cut in the nocks and also the shaft.

Yeah ...Right .....Rolf....it's just that Easy......... ::)

I understand you Drawing for the Miter Guide for the Arrow Cut...but how and the World do You cut the Buffalo Horn and Shape it?? Thats the  Artistic Part...You can train a Monkey to cut a V in a Shaft...but to Cut and Shape them Horn Nocks ...is Art Work

to  cut the horn is very easy.
You can buy it here highlandhorn.com The horn is ready to clue.
You can find it under archery articels.

I agree with everybody, those things are real works of art. I'd be afraid of loosing them. I always loose one or two every time I go out shooting.

You have to love it when someone takes such pride in their work, that they go the extra mile to make it art as well! It's like my dad taught me growing up. If you've done it right, people will admire your work and immediately recognize it as yours.

these i would be so proud to hunt with. they are STUNNING! i would totally make these and shoot them to kill a deer, knowing it was my craftsmanship that brought down that deer!
