Title: help with starting
Post by: jim_bob on January 28, 2010, 05:12:16 pm: recently a very good guy and member of this forum, nugget, helped me get started with flintnapping and sent me some stuff to do it with. i want to try to make a few blades but dont know how ??? i cant figure out how to work the stone into a flat peice to make the blade. is there any site i can go to to figure it out?

I would also recommend getting DC Waldorf's book "The Art of Flintknapping."And try to get to a knap-in, that will really spedd up your learning curve when you can watch people knap and ask questions.
