im getting to the tillering stage of an ash kids bow 48" ntn length its still a little heavy for the 20lb at 22" im aiming for but was wondering about brace height for a kids bow any ideas??at moment i have a string lying around that i tried on it giving a brace height of around 3" is that too low for a kids bow?

If you have 3" fleching on the kid's arrows.

Can you twist it up just a bit? 4" might keep them from stinging the back of their thumb etc. Kids love to shoot their bows but really dont like getting stung. 4" might give a little margin for error....but if the bow keeps that string real taught at 3" leave it as it is, will be easier to brace...if youre going to teach them that too. Hey they are going to have fun....

I would go with at least 4 or 4 1/2 so it don't slap there arm. Just twist up the one you have. :)
