I've been playing with much bigger boulders, probably 20 times bigger, of talahatta quartzite and it doesn't seam to want to spall like the video....is that the nature of the rock differences or is it because I have not idea what I'm doing relative to the guy in the video ??? ;D He makes it look much easier than what I'm experiencing!!

Well Jeff, what he's spalling is like first cousin to obsidian and what you're spalling is like a first cousin to concrete. So yes, the rock does make a difference. That's Jim Winn too. He's goood ;)

ya i wouldnt compare what your working with to dacite
ivw got some dacite,its nice for when the shoulders are aching i want to knapp
but i like stuff i can be abusive to too,good stress relief
