Hey Sailordad,
When it comes to them rocks I wouldn't know one if it hit me in the head......but I see a lot of you knappers reffering to "small heads" and I was woundering what you mean by that? Most of the artifacts I see in the museums in the great lakes area were pretty small....about like some I saw that you fellas called bird points......anyway I allways thought they were supposed to be small.....shows what I know.
half eye ;)
-
Rich I believe most of the smaller points were true arrow heads and the larger stuff was used atatyls and such if that helps any ???
-
Thanks Dana, that explains it.....like I said never knapped anything (well maybe from 1pm to 2pm sometimes) you guys just amaze the s@#* out of me.

cool points man i got to get some of that stone that ryolite i been hitting is killing me.
-
After looking again Tim. That middle one looks like good green ryolite and the other two are Ky blue.
-
so thats green rhyolite huh.
i liked it ;D tuff as all get,but its harder to break 'em when the rock is tougher and i like that
wouldnt mind getting more of that too
the guy thats getting these is getting some of the best material i have, hope he likes them
