Just wanted to throw this out there and see if any one has any ideas. I'll try and post some pics later this afternoon.
A friend of mine was asking me about a bow he has had for about 25-30 years. It is an old Ben Pearson breakdown.....Does anyone know anything about these? When they made, etc. It is pretty nice all in all and "seems" to be wood coated in "something". really not sure. ANy info would be greatly appreciated......

Thanks for the info Saw Filer! I'll have to dig into that site...Seems like a lot of info there and since it searches by year, seems I would be there a while trying to figure it out >:( . Why can't things be easy lol!! Anyway, attached a couple pics.....

any writing or markings on it?
-
Sailordad - the only writing on it is "Ben Pearson".... no draw length, weight, or anything else. Feels like it pulls around 50# but I have not put it on a tree yet.

How bout a close up of the handle and take down part.
Try about 1957

Here is the best pic I have of the handle and take down part. There is no sleeve on the male end of the take down......

is this all fiberglass? I have one like it that is all glass. my guess is it was made in the 40's. I have had two of them, one has a vinyl case. can it be shot either right or left hand? they are tough bows, good for rabbit huntin'.

It was made in the mid-50's. Send it to me ;D Go to the link sawfiler posted and go to catalogue 1956 or 1957. It is one of those.

Mullet- just found it I think! Thanks! 1957 for sure, and it has to be either the model 304 or model 969 (?). It is not solid glass but rather wood core coated....Close scrutiny of the breakdown handle shows the interior wood core. Very cool old bow!

Cool! If you want to get rid of it, drop me a PM.

Lol, I think I'll be holding onto this one. ;D
