Made a couple this afternoon.
Jesse: I would highly reccomend that if you ever go back where you got this stuff that you take a bigger truck ;D. If you ever do - keep me in mind. I like it better than Georgetown ;).
That third one is an Ishi point that's gonna be a little shorter now ::).

nice looking rock, must be nice ;D
-
Hot Dang! I love the notches on that one.
Punched? I gotta learn how to do that.
-
AHHHHHHH GAWWWWWDD ;)
-
Thanks ya'll :).
Wish I could go with ya Jesse! If I ever retire and your still able to run about we'll go ;D. That stuff flakes really nice and is waaaay more forgiving than G-town if ya hit it a tad high. I love it!
Gotcha on that one Shannon - not punching but pressure. I've kinda been toying with the idea of narrow entry notching for awhile now and try to apply some of that now and then. Not that those are narrow but getting better. Man how about the translucency of that stuff? Wow!!
Eddie: ;D ;D ;D.

Those rock, Mr. Paul!
PD

Thank ya Mr. Pete ;D. Just can't get over how beautiful that rock is.
-
Those are sweet, very nice work. :)
Pappy
-
Thanks Pappy! Maybe if Jesse makes several Georgia runs before May I'll load my truck down at your place ;D.
-
That is some beautiful looking stone that you made even prettier. The notching on that point is really impressive.
-
I see you haven't loss your touch Paul, those are simply fine! ;)
-
Here's mine. Curtis Robbins gave me the rock on 7-18-09. That's how long I took to knap this one out! The concrete is brutal but this is great stuff!

That is a very nice -sharp point Pete! Looks like you did it justice, perfect pressure work. Think I'm in love with flint river rocks now ::).
-
Is there enough of that flint river around that a guy can load a truck ? Those are beautiful points fella's. ' Frank
-
I think there is Frank. If I ever find myself around Georgia - I'll be looking.
-
Nope! It's all gone. ;D
-
WOW !¡! And to think I've paid money to get into an art museum.
What's the best starter book on flint sculpturing ?
-
Eddie - you got armed guards posted around the quarry there? ;D. I'll have to go it covert then, maybe tunnel in :D.
square shooter: It's called flint knapping but suppose it is a form of sculpting. Anyway a good book to start with would be DC Waldorf's "The art of flintknapping". There are other books and stuff out there but that's the only one I've read. Best bet is to get with somebody that can show you a few things.
