I have been making arrows for years out of Port Orford Cedar and River Cane. However sitting ,up in my tree stand, I begin to notice all these resonably straight shafts of hard wood sticking up out of the ground. Thought I would try some authentic shoot shafts ,collected some, there still green however I went ahead and tried one. My wife got to talking to one of the history Proffesors at the college and well I lost my arrow. Hardwood shaft ,white oak or hickory, boiled walnut shells and charcoal for dye ,turkey fletch sinewed wrapped, bone head

At least it went to a noble cause. Fine looking arrow, but I'm sure you can make more.
