thanks fellas.Sorry I hav'ent answered sooner. I was easing down toward a creek and he came out on the other side and went up the bank, hesitated ,or,lost traction, for an instant, but I got an arrow off through a hole in the foliage. He was heart shot and jumped straight up,then fell down the bank sliding just shy of the waters edge.I eased out of their for a couple of minutes, but it was'nt necessary,he did'nt go anywhere.I shot him with "She's got legs",my 50#@26" snakey osage, and a switchcane arrow with a bandsaw trade. God Bless, and good huntin'.

Thanks Paul. There's no rock around me.(that I know of,other than iron ore)I live about 10 miles southeast of Tyler,in east Texas. Now when I lived at Pleasanton, down in the south Texas brush and pear country,we had several kinds of good rock, especially root beer flint.I sure wish I'd brought a few hundred pounds back to east Texas with me. God Bless
