This is one I just built for to take to Texas for a hog hunt that I will be going on in 11 days or so.. ;D It is 58" ntn 55# at 26" I did tiller it out to 62# at 29" this way I can let somebody else use it if need be.. The riser is Hickory,Osage and Brazilian cherry.. The power lam is Canary wood. It is stained with burgundy and black.. I hope to make some meat with it soon!!

I usually don't like these RD BBsomethings... Too modern for a guy with a trowel.
This one is just too beautiful though. Especially the stain on the Bamboo.
The pigs will throw themselves at you.
-
you sure make some purty sticks . love the colors !! , keep em coming!!
-
Good lookin bow David ;) I like the tiller on that one. I bet it shoots hard too.
-
I can only hope that the pig's throw themselves at least close to me.. ;D Shannon I thought you might like the tiller.. ;)
-
David
Another awesome bow. I really like those narrow tips. Hope you make some bacon with it. Good Luck, If you are not happy with it 55# @26 is perfect for me ;D
-
man, i think you could take at least another ounce off those tips :P
any narrower and you'll poke somebody's eye out
-
but hey if you miss or make a bad shot you can just throw it like a javalin and stick 'em good!
gimme a shout if you got extra summer sausage when you're done cookin the pig im sure you'll get ;D
-
Great looking bow David, another one well done. :)
Pappy
-
sweet!
-
Thanks guy's. I was just talking with a freind of mine about making up some smoked sausage in my new smoker... ;)
-
Really nice. Is the extension of the first lam of the riser out in a thin tapering manner a strategy to avoid popoff?
Dave
-
ohhhh that one turned out really purdy.
Looks like a pig stickin bow to me.
nice job
wade
-
Another really nice one David! I love that osage and brazilian cherry combo! Good luck in Texas!
-
nice bow david!! :) I love the fact you can get a 29" draw out of a 58" bow w/ a handle riser!!!! Gives me something to SHOOT for (no pun intended) :) -josh
-
I am sure I will need all the luck I can get.. ;D.. The thin tapered lams are there to avoid pop off.. I do belive that with a power lam you might not need them but I like to be safe and I think it gives me the chance to show some nice wood combo's in the riser as well..
-
Great lookin' bow David. If you're swinging thru Oklahoma on your way back from Texas, let me know and I'll fire up the smoker. ;D Good luck!
-
I think we are going to take the smoker with us... ;)
-
Man thats a nice bow :o
-
David...where in Texas are you going Hog Hunting?? Maybe you can stop by and pick up your Cholla on the way Home
-
the bows you make should be bom every time they are sweet.
-
Very nice Dave Can't wait to shoot it ;) since you made it for long armed people.
-
See I knew I needed to tiller it out past 26"...lol... El d We will be close to dallas...
-
Beauty bow, man. Looks like a good luck bow, for pig huntin'.
-
One of the advantages of BOM is that we get a second look at bows. Otherwise, due to the popularity of the BOWS forum, a bow, once posted, winds up several pages back very quickly. Soon it is forgotten except for the most diligent of researchers.
So, you might reconsider offering up this fine bow for BOM.
-
WOW!! what a great lookin bow !!!! would love to see a buildalong for a bow like this ,love the shape and the laminations in the handle are sick looking.
-
High art.
