Title: scouting
Post by: leapingbare on August 19, 2009, 07:05:06 pm
Me and a buddy of mine went out and hung some stands the other day. We also tuck a spotting scope and glassed a large soy bean field. and we saw 40+ deer and 20 of the 40 deer were bucks and and there were some 130-140 class bucks in the bunch and we seen two monsters that were in the 160 class. Next time we go I'll take pics.
I hope everyones pre session scouting is goin as good as mine.

Jesse, looks like you've got a great spot.  Hope you can get them in bow range.  I'll be down there this weekend. Hopefully you'll be able to come by.

HA! down here if the 30 people in my two hunting camps see a combined 40 deer in the entire season, we did good.

Pappy, i hope so to. Got some real good stand sites and were pretty shire we got these deer figerd out for the most part. I might not get one of the monsters but feel confident I'll get a descent one or at least a shot at one this year. One can only hope.
