Had to bend and re-work the top limb for the string's sake. After taking my time on the tiller, this is the final result.
The handle came out a little weird. I didn't want to cut a shelf, but that's kind-of what happened anyway.LOL!!!
Oh well, its not perfect or the prettiest one you'll ever see, but it will scald an arrow and I am pretty proud of my first attempt. All that is left now is maybe 40-50 shots to make sure the limb tiller 'sticks' ... a final sanding, and sealing.
Thanks for everyone's help on this, I really appreciate it!
My next attempt will be a bamboo backed osage board bow. I sent off for the osage slat today and I traded for a couple of prepped bamboo backing strips. I'll be back!

Bish bash bosh, jobs a good un. :)
I like the semicircular tiller, I like to see the whole limb working (unless static tips are a deliberate feature)

Great looking bow. The tiller looks outstanding! Very Nice job on that one. :)

Tiller looks great!! It takes a while to find a handle that works, that don't look too bad. A cut in arrow pass is fine for lam bows, but just ain't right for a selfbow IMO.

Tiller looks great and handles are what ever you like, one question did you take the last couple of pictures at an angle to show the handle or is it that far off the center ? I think it was just the angle if not that needs a little work to get it over. :)

Tiller looks really good! Like Pappy, I was wondering a little about the string alignment with the handle...could just be the picture.
