Simple but very cool bow. The full draw looks great and silhouetting the bow against the sky really shows the full draw profile well. Well done!! 8)

Very nice bow John and I'm a fan of the cordage grips, did you seal the grip yet? Congrats :)
-
That's the type of bow I like. Great form and function. It just looks like something I want in my hand. Well done.
-
Thanks Pat, something new i tried, the trick is to pull it back just at the right time, since i'm using the timer...took a few trys.
Thanks Dana, I have one coat of wipe on poly on the grip now.
Thanks Parnell.

Thanks Pappy, I really like IW myself, this one is going to the guy that let me cut the tree down last summer on his property. He doesn't shoot, but a bow was part of the deal ;D Who knows maybe he will start shooting :)
-
Nice tiller, John. Well done.
-
Thanks Adam !

John I like to use 2 part epoxy thinned with a little acetone on the cordage grips, 2 coats and its locked and about as weatherproof as ya can get it.

Howdy John K.,
Hey, I have an HHB stave about 57". I was thinking of making a "toy bow" (around 35#), but since you managed to make a serious huntin weapon - I'll have to try to also.
I'm thinking of making mine with a more bendy handled than yours, for (about) 50#@28". Do you think that's a good idea?
Question: What width (out of the fades) do you reccommend?
Thanks for sharing,
Canoe

Hi Canoe, I don't see a problem with getting a bendy handle 50# bow out of you'r stave. HHB is pretty tuff stuff, you don't need much of it to make a bow.
I'd start at about an inch and a hlaf and go from there. Thats what mine started at just out of the fades and went the full length of the stave except for the last 10"s, then i tapperd to about 3/8.
Hope this helps some. :)
