Title: Fathers Day knapping

My wife decided to sit down with me and knap on Sunday. I believe hers turned out much better than mine.
Hers are from some flakes of Costal Plains chert. Mine are obsidian I think 1 piece is some dacite.

Cool, My wife just thinks I'm nuts.. shes thinking maybe he can knapp diamonds.... ;D but she definately puts up with alot. I bet you had a good time and made some memories.. Peace

Most definitly good memories.. SHe like to use all the thin flakes to make small bird points.

Nice points, Ya I can't see my wife playing with rocks, unless she's aiming for me :o

That grayish obsidian looks like some of Justins rock.

Yeah, the only rocks my wife likes are weighed in carrots and sparkle a lot! ;D

Good looking points Nugget. Come on up to Avery county and we'll break some obsidian. I hate to think what would happen to me if I showed my other how to fashion weapons!!
