Hey, Everyone... I'd like you to meet Rattler. I made this bow over a year ago, but I've recently refined it. It was originally 70#, but I retillered it to 60#... a bit more cumfy for treestand hunting, and general shooting. She's 62" NTN, 60#@27", hickory backed osage, with western rattler skins. The skins came complete with rattler tails, so I incorporated one into the grip. It was a very marginal piece of osage, with crazy grain and lots of run off, so I decided to back it. Strunk style grip, and self nocks. 1" of set, from a straight stave.

Here's the full draw pic...
I think this is perhaps one of the best tillered bows I have yet made. This bow does already have some mojo... I did kill with it last fall.

Sweet looking bow! Tiller looks great and I especially like the grip. ;)
-
Love them coontails on tips! And a black and white string just sets them off even better. Great bow.
-
I just noticed the rattles on the grip, they won't last to long there,if you will dip them in tru oil and let the dry, they won't rattle anymore but will last a long time.If not they deteriorate fairly quickly.
Again very nice work. :)
