Title: Pics of some new arrows
Post by: knightc71 on April 26, 2009, 10:07:30 pm
Hey there guys!!  Just thought that I would share a few pics of my new tonkin cane arrows with you.  You will be able to see them at the classic.  I just wanted to get your opinions on the dye jobs.  Don't be afraid to be honest.  I hope you enjoy them.  As almost everyone says, the pictures don't do them justice!!

Nice arrows Knight! I did an article for the mag on dyeing arrows just recently. I see yours have some of the same characteristics as some I have in the story. Nice job!

Nice arrows Cora. You will be easy to spot at the Classic.  Looking forward to meeting you and David at the Classic. I've known David for years but we have never met.  :(

Beautiful arrows KnightC, the dye jobs look great.  I'm sure it is a trade secret, but I would love to know what you use.  I find it really tough to get a nice finish on boo.  You seem to have the dying process mastered.  Looking forward to seeing the arrows and meeting The Family Knight at the classic.

Trust me, the pics do not do them justice.  They are even too purty to shoot.  You did as fine job Cora.

After seeing those in person at the Classic, the pictures don't even begin to do them justice. That dye technique is something else, it looks a half inch deep and almost iridescent. Some of the best looking arrows I've seen.

Thanks so much for the compliments guys!!  I am going to TRY and make some more here in the near future.  When I get them done, I will post some more pics.

For those of you who do have some of them, make sure that you get some blood on them and send me pics.  That would really make my day.  I plan on making a scrap book of the arrows that I have given to others with their kills and my arrows.  Send your pics!!!!

Again, thanks so much for the compliments.

Timo, Can you please tell me the issue that your article was written in, as I am not a subscriber to the magazine so I would really like to see your article.  I will order a back issue so that I can see it.  Thanks

I too saw these arrows at the Classic, and I was afraid for my 8 yr. old to touch them because I know how much work it takes to make an arrow that's probably not even half as good as these and he can break just about anything!  Your arrows are amazing!

It is some beautiful work and exceptionally straight. Very nice work.
