64" NTN, 56# at 28". Deer hide backing. Bubinga tip overlays. This is my first sttempt at overlays. It is also my first attempt at really shaping a handle. This bow is a lot of firsts, really. I gained a lot of confidence and probably learned more from this one bow than I did in my first two combined. I had advise and bandsaw help from GregB and Pappy. Greg also lent a watchfull eye to my first heat reflexing job on this one. Thanks to everyone here for the tiller and crack advice.
This is the bow from the snap, crackle, pop thread. The crack has not opened up or spread after several days of shooting, I really hope I'm in the clear. You'll see that I left plenty of wood at the arrow pass. I studied a lot of bows after that crack formed, and have seen plenty that run thinner at the arrow pass then this one. I dont know what caused it, but reducing it by ten pounds and a goodly flood of thin superglue seems to have fixed it.
Here you go.

Not to take anything away from ya, but with tutors like you mentioned,it's hard to go astray.:)

ya know what bear, that is a bow anyone would be proud of. excellent tiller, nice handle shape, great backing and overlays. Great job. looks like a very capable weapon. my third bow was no where near that good. congratulations.
-
Very nice bow and especially for your 3rd. Like Timo said, with teachers like Greg and Pappy, you can't go wrong. 8)

Wow that is fantastic especially for your 3rd bow. You definitely had some of the best tutors that a guy could ask for. but still that is a fine looking bow and shows your attention to detail. Congratulations
-
Really nice bow, well done. Excellent tiller.

Well done. Congrats on your new bow

Alex, it sure turned out sweet...congrats on a job well done with a lot of attention to details that make a good bow much better! You especially did a good job on the tips, and I like the dye job on the bows back as well. Be sure to let me see and shoot it during the Classic please! ;)
-
Well you got 'er done. Real fine.
I don't think I've seen a bow posted, perhaps ever, that was as bad as my 3rd bow. Ya'll have raised the bar a TON, and are steady at the wheel. It's gonna get to a point where a fellar can't hardly keep up. LOL

Sweet bow, love the curves in her! I would be proud to take her hunting. Good shootin to you, Steve

Thanks, everyone. I really wish I could get the pics posting figured out. My wife is a great photographer, and took some pro quality pics, but by the time I resize them for posting they are all distorted. Oh well, you get the gist. Thanks again.
