This is the first bamboo back and belly R/D that I have done so I thought I would share it with you guy's.. It is 62"NTN 42#. Starting at the back of the bow through the handle the lams are Bamboo,Ipe,Osage,Ipe (core), Rose wood and hickory.. The tips are Osage and Kings wood with a small wedge of Osage under the boo...It is sweet to shoot. Dead quiet with no hand shock..

Really nice. Love the colors blending together,Profile, finish, tiller. Top shelf.
What species of boo you use?
-
It is plain Moso bamboo on the back and heat tempered on the belly..
-
Damn David dats a beauty, hope yer bringing it to the Classic as I have dibs on shooting it ;D
-
Wow, beautiful bow. Just beautiful.
Dustin D.
-
I will take it to the classic unless there isn't enough room.. :o
-
That is a beauty David. I like everything about it. The wood colors are awesome. Its a little blurry but it even looks great blurry :) Cant wait to see it up close.
-
Thank's guy's.. I got to shoot it some but it has been taken away from me by my Wife :'( .. I can tell you that the arrow leaving the bow is all you hear when its shoot probaly the quietest bow I have ever shot! Well now I just get to stand there and watch... :(...
-
That's a beautiful bow David....great job
-
Wow David, stunningly beautiful. Love it. Especially the colors. Fantastic work,Congratulations. Keenan
-
Great looking bow David. You sure are getting fancy these days. ;) The layered handle is stunning and especially the ivory colored hickory. Beautiful.
-
That looks like some fast bow to me...
-
David-
You are seriously upping your game. That is one sick bow. Make sure it makes it to Pappy's. If you don't have room for it on the way back to N.C. don't worry I'll have plenty of room in my truck. Seriously, that is one great looking bow, awesome job.
-
thank's guys.. When I put those lams in the riser I new they would look ok but it turned out better than expected..
Rick Make sure you come by and see me early friday at pappy's. I will try and sneak the bow out for a round on the course with you.. ;)
Hows your back doing pat??
-
Great looking bow David. How do it compare to a BBI of the same specs?
-
Saw filler.. I have a BBI 1# lighter and the same design as this one and I think it shoots much smoother and quieter than the same BBI..
-
Nice job David ! ;D I'm having fun with these lam bows to lately its a good change of pace from the self bow grind....Again great job!
-
getting better slowly but surely! ;D
-
Just beautiful work, thats about all I can say. Very nice job. :)
Pappy
-
Thank's Pappy..
Ryano.. It is very rewarding and fun to play with the lam bows aint it.. ;)
-
David, thats a beauty! Great build, good shootin to you and your wife!
-
Those woods are beautiful together in the handle like that. The unstrung and strung profile both say "smooth" and "fast". ;D Nice!
-
Sweet looking weapon, David.
-
This is one amazing bow. We'll look at it again next week for April BOM fun.
-
One nice looking bow!
-
I really love the handle, and the boo back and belly on this bow.. those boo back/belly bows are truly awesome!
great bow david!
Nick
-
That's one SWEET looking bow David! What kind of speed are you getting out of that one? Like the others said, can't wait to see it in person next week!
-
OMG...what an ugly, out of tiller, a$$ backwards piece of trash!! You need to send that bow to me immediately so I can do you a favor and dispose of it properly! I can hardly even look at it....YUK! By the way, my address is... :)
-
Billy.. :P.. ;D..
Brownhillboy.. I haven't shot it thru a crono yet but it seems to be doing good.. It is so smooth that it is deceivingly fast..
-
Don't ask me why cause I like dark colors better, but I like that white handle. I think this is a tie for your best bow yet. ;)
-
Thank's Bill.. I like the white handle more than I thought I would as well..
-
WOW,Sweet, sweet bow I really like that handle and profile.Did you ever get going on the elm I sent you?Again great bowJeffrey Kolste...Hammertime
-
Yep got started on the elm and then seen a fellow (HFD60) that needed it worse than me and he is shooting it right now!! ;) And very well I might add.. Thank's for the trade it made a couple guy's happy in the end..
David

Is it a lot harder to build a bamboo backed, and bellied bow, compared to a bamboo backed only bow? :) Plus how much more expensive for a blank?
-
Very Cool Dave. Can't wait to see it in person.
-
I will bring one over next time I come over.
Bill .. Yes it is much more dificult to build than just a bamboo backed bow..I dont build any of these for sale I was just playing around and learning how to do it..
-
David...beautiful bow. Too bad I did'nt see it in time to vote or it would'nt have been a tie. No offense to the other guys of course. I like the white handle as well and the shape all the way around looks killer. Great job buddy. Danny
-
Thanks sidewinder.. It was a blast to build.. My wife took it almost immediately.. :o.. so I built one for myself and gave it to someone that I look at as a good freind. so all in all both of them made me and others happy.. what more could a guy ask for!!
-
See how you are. Your a giver man and thats a good thing. Danny
-
;D...and I are that good friend! ;) 8) Thanks again David. I haven't had a chance to shoot it but I did add fur silencers(not that it needed them) and a calfskin strike plate and rest. I have cuddled with it a bit though! ::)
-
Cuddleing with it :o.. It probaly looks alot better now that you put the fixing's on it.. I hope it shoots well for you pat.. It couldn't have went to a better person..Thanks for being the guy you are..
