Title: Pig hoove tip overlays?

Anyone ever use the pet store chew toy variety for overlays?

Yes, I've used them on a red oak board bow. They stink something horrible when you are cutting/sanding them, but they finish nice. Sometimes they have a bit of swirled color (light and dark) to the finished hoof.
