Guys I am working on my first take down bow. I am ready to glue on the fittings. What is the best glue that will bond both with the metal and wood. Dean

Clean metal, fresh clean wood and JB Weld? opinions?
I have made long lasting repairs to cast iron tool bodies with JB Weld. If you need to get it off it is real work to do so. piper

Dean, they make an epoxy for just that thing I recall? MT13 or something? I think 3 rivers sell it.

3m makes a two part epoxy for wood to steel adhesion.
i believe its a 5 min 2 ton epoxy.i have used it for gluing wood to metal, for knife handles
never done a take down yet but i wouldnt be afraid of using it.

I used expoxy on the last one I did.Just be sure everything fits before you apply it.Then be ready to work pretty fast.I got it a Lowe's I think and came in a syringe with the 2 side by side.

i think any epoxy would work, just be sure you don't glue your sleeve's together or let epoxy run into the sleeve. that will cause problems later.
