Title: Cumaru as bow wood

Anyone tried this? Seems a lot like ipe and Menards is selling it.

Menards....Now there is a Lumberyard you don't hear about anywheres in the South!!!! I miss the one in Marquette....they handle all kinds of Hardwoods....Home Depot and Lowes don't have anything but Tulip Poplar and red Oak here....... :(

Almost tried it once.  They sell it at the place where I buy my ipe.  Anyway, the cumaru had grain that was too wild, so I didn't buy it.  The mechanical properties of the wood look promising though.
