Hello,
I have been lurking here for a few days and I have watched some you tube videos. I would like to give an arrowhead a try. I have a glas table top that broke a few days ago. I think it is tempered. Can this be knapped? How would I go about getting a piece small enought to work with in my hand, If it will even work?

yes Whack it with a hammerstone

There ya have it - just whack it with something, if it doesn't explode into a thousand tiny squares then you can make an arrahead out of it :). You can score one side with a glass cutter or some other sharp metalic object then whack it and wind up with less scrap.

I take it that it can be knapped?

If its tempered when ya whack it you will have a bajillon little pieces :o
If its not tempered you can knap it :)

Hey Woodsman,
If the glass is tempered safety glass it will just spider-web into tiny pieces when it breaks, meaning it won't work for knapping. If it's regular glass, you can chip it into points. You can always use flat beer bottle or wine bottle bottoms too...those work well and are super sharp once you get some practice.
