Title: my latest point (Sedalia)
Post by: billy on January 13, 2009, 06:22:17 pm
Here's a Sedalia point I just made out of a nasty flake of Keokuk chert.  This was a challenge because the flake was long and narrow and thick on one side and thin on the other.  Wasn't sure if I would be able to make a point out of it or not, but I did!  This point was also made entirely with abo tools, except for the fine serrations along the edge...I used a horseshoe nail tool for that.  This point is exactly 4 1/2 inches long.  The edges are VERY sharp and would take down a buffalo or deer with no problem.  Hope ya like it.
