Post by: james parker on January 06, 2009, 07:43:19 pm
Black locust bend in the handle D-bow, 54 in. groove to groove, 48# @25".  Heat treated belly.  Fourth bow ever made.

Mulberry flatbow, 56" groove to groove, 42# @25", heat treated belly.  First bow ever made.

What do you guys think about them?

Good looking bows. I like that snaky locust. Both of them have a lot of character, looks like he did a good job with some tough wood.

nice bows. He picked some tricky wood to start off with. I'll bet he learned a whole lot making those. Doesn't hurt having you for a buddy either ;)

Good job on some pretty difficult pieces of wood to work with. Look for more good looking bows from him in the future! ;)
