Title: Looking for bowbuilding class/instruction in Houston (Spring) TX area...

new to area... Anyone around here teach wooden bow building?  Any type, self, board, wood/boo backed?  Not ready for sinew or horn composite yet.

There's a lot of experienced folks right here on this forum. Give some thought to what type bow you'd like to build, get you some wood, and start asking questions. That's how a lot of people get started here. Lot's of pictures as you go help with the advice. :)

I made my first bow doing exactly what Pat said. I use this site every day to learn more. You can use the search feature to get many answers to just about any bow building questions you can think of. Many true pros on here. :)

Guess that's it.  Just remembering I learned more in a week with a pro boatbuilder than I'd learned in 3 years on my own.  Figured a little hands on with someone experienced would be worthwhile.
