Title: dragonmans bows
Post by: dragonman on December 13, 2008, 04:53:07 pm
a few members have asked to see some of my bows, so here goes i am going to attempt to send pictures  of my 3 latest bows, i hope this works and i dont send the wrong pictures!! never sent pictures before.

1- bamboo backed hickory recurve( greenish colour)   66"  55#  2 1/2" of reflex
2-bamboo backed hickory recurve   66" 58#  1 1/2" of reflex
3-bamboo backed ipe, straight bow with 1" of reflex, also 66"

if I do say so my self!!! they all shoot pretty good but the ipe bow is the fastest, and i find the easiest to be accurate with, the 55# recurve is slightly faster than the 58# with  the smaller recurves

When you make a new post or reply to one you will see at the left just below the message box the words Additional Options.  Just click on that and you will see a box with a "Browse" button.  Click on Browse and then select the picture in your computer that you want to upload.

If you have pictures hosted on a website, such as photobucket, then just click on the "insert image" button, second from the left above the smiley faces, and insert the link

Simple question.  Where do you have your pictures stored?  Are they on your computer or do you have them hosted on another website?

Dragonman,
Open a photobucket account. You can store your pictures there and photobucket will automatically downsize them when you post them. Opening a photobucket ccount is quite eaasy or I would not have been able to do it!

You can use Image Shack to host your pic's if you dont want to open an account, click Browse then pick the pic (the Open tab) you want to show. Then click 'Host it',it will give you three option's to choose from, right click and 'Copy' the Url you want to use, then 'Paste' it into your message on here.

PhotoBucket is better though but you have to register.

There is also Piccasa, It's free and you can change your picture size yourself. Or just change the dial on your camera.

Set your camera to the lowest resolution setting. There should be 3 or so settings.  That is usually 640x480. That is the only way I can get them to work for me.    Pat

Open a photobucket acount. Very easy. After you download to photobucket click on the last option IMG code and paste it in your reply. You dont have to resize or worry about your camera settings. If you want PM me and I can help you or post them for you.

I use this software called photorazor. I am not good with computers, but this one is simple enough for me. you can downsize your photos after opening them in the program.
Just type "photorazor" in google, and then download it. It's a virus safe file too.
