I don't ordinarily post a bow I am working on. If it doesn't turn out, no one will know :-\
This is a decent piece of hawthorne I snagged out of a city park area a year ago.
I thought I might try a Holmegaard design.
I've already piked it because the long tips didn't line up very well, partly due to a slight propeller twist. Since then, I've realigned the shorter tips with heat.
Question is: Should the tips flex at all? Currently they are stiff. Should they be redesigned?

Don, maybe at the last bit of draw they can begin to bend but it is not necessary. The more weight(physical) you can take off of the tips the better. That would be more important than them bending. Pat

In general on the Holmies, most of the bending should be from fades to midlimb, and the tips should stay stiff.

Them Holmgaards are tricky buggers, I guess the originals had sinew noks and the tips were pointed, Like them Holmys.Phillip

I was pretty impressed with Bernie Dunn's Holmegaard from September.
