Title: My First Knife and Sheath
Post by: GlassKnapper on December 02, 2008, 12:33:26 am
Finally my first knife, its hafted with pine pitch and artificial sinew( I put epoxy on the sinew for durability, i know i cheated). Anyway the sheath is made from a dog raw hide chew, has an antler button, and bone beads. Not sure what kind of bone the handle is though I'm still a beginner, and I am still Learnin!

Well, I guess you don't need me to make a sheath after all.  You did a great job on both.  The only thing the sheath is missing is a few of the ooga booga stick figures on it.  Keep up the great work.

The only thing the sheath is missing is a few of the ooga booga stick figures on it.

although some artifacts have been found with artistic/symbolic representations on them... most went unadorned. Paleos were way more focused on survival: of themselves,of their families, of their primitive communities.
