I'm going to work on making Ishi points. Never done it but there is always a first time. Seems like there is a big difference in how obsidian points and flint points are made. Materials seem to dictate how they come out.

Ishi points are simple really D. Just make your elongated triangle, move up about a quater inch from the base and notch em - voila, huntin point :).

i didnt enter...my chipping is o.k....but i want to see who and what they got....if i would have gotten keenan.i would have sent him a box of chips of obsidian.. ;D, ;D....like he dont have enough..later john

I've ended up with the extremely expanded notches several times myself ::). Don't know why Ishi liked to do em that way other than maybe his hafting material was big or it just held on better - straight notches hold plenty well enough for me :).
