Tiller check

I'd give the right limb a few scrapes mid limb on. Easy does it. Otherwise, it looks good. Jawge

you sure you flipped that bow around?

both limbs on the right side look the same as do both left limbs.

  100% positive I flipped it around. Note the timber hitch on the lower limb.  I even marked the bow to make sure which was which because they look the same..Look at the marks on the fades. on one side I put just a t for top and on the other there is a t and a b for top and bottom   So when you say right limb which picture are you referring to? Its drving me nuts that the tiller looks the same when I flip it. It must have a little twist in it.

I missed that you showed both sides. It is great that you looked at the tiller from both ways. I straightened out the pics on iPhoto. With top on right that right tip looks a little stiff. Then with top on left it doesn't. I think you are right that you have  a little twist. One way to tell is mark off  6 inch increments on the braced bow on both limbs. Measure front and back and compare on same sides of each limb. What's your draw length? Jawge

Jesse its lookin really good to me I would go ahead and work it out another inch or two, if I remember right you draw 27 or 28" so you have some room to play.
Hows the unbraced profile look? Is it starting to take any set? watch that you don't get too much bend at the fades and leave the tips stiff. What weight ya shootin for?

I hope it is OK if I post my pic of my FIRST BOW here and get a bit of expert advice.  This was my first attempt, made from a Lowes 1x3.........probably a bit light in the pull for most of you, but it works and shoots nice.  How does the tillering look to you all?   This one was oak, the one on the bench now is White Ash, a bit wider and will be stiffer.

Dana your right my draw is 27" The unbraced profile still looks good. The top limb is taking a bit more set than the bottom but both are holding reflex at this point.

Thanks again Jawge. I want to know if Im just imagining too. My wife suggested I move the light in my shop. Its one of those clip on aluminum dish lights and its angled from the corner over to the other side. You never know Shes been right before   I'll let ya know
