I've hunted Colorado for elk/mule deer three different times without taking an animal. But I consider each trip a successful hunt due to the beautiful country that I throughly enjoyed. Something about hearing a bull elk bugle on a cold morning and a rocky mountain setting...if you've never experienced it, I highly recommend it! Got to be the wildest natural sound known to man, sent chills down my back when I heard it.
