well i finally got my knife mailed off today.
i hope you like it RADIUS  ;D
it was only the second knife i made. he first one i kept it was a prototype you could say. i used it to figure out what the heck i was doing.
enjoy and i hope you dont cut yourself,i think its got a decent edge to it.

Okie, you got that knife yet? Now be careful. Its obsidian! May not look sharp but it will slice you silly if your not carefull.

Alright I finally got home at a decent hour to get the pictures posted. David did a great job on this one.
I bet I have the best smelling knife around, lol. ;D I had to check it to be sure it wasn't soap. Nope it's real obsidian.
I hope to get some blood on it soon.

    What kind of wood did you make the sheath from? Is it 2 pieces of wood joined together to make the handle? It is hard to tell because of the way the grain is running. It really looks good!

Handle is two pieces of old growth cedar and the sheath is one piece of 2nd growth cedar. Glad you guys like it. All done by hand and now power tools to boot. The obsidian is the rare to find red glass Buttes stuff. Harder to find in larger sizes these days. The next one will be an elm wood handle and pumpkin obsidian. Been meaning to work on it but I have been down with bronchitis. May be a bit late on getting the last one out. Sorry!!!

those wooden sheaths are really sweet in conjunction with that obsidan rock/glass blades

with halloween quickly approaching,wouldnt mind seeing something like that showing up in the mail
