Hey guys finally completed both White Oak bows. Each drawing around 53lb @ 26". With brush tail possum fur string silencers that me and my brother harvested and tanned. Wild goat horn nocks that I harvested myself with a different design for each bow. Bow 2 has a shelf whilst bow 1 is shooting off the knuckle. It was fun to test different styles between the bows and try out some new techniques.

Edit: The full build video is up on YouTube now, feel free to check it out if interested: https://youtu.be/PQfi-Oxemdk

Your tiller is exemplary. Well done, well done indeed.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Pay close attention to your tiller with the black locust. It is quick to show your flaws with frets.

I'd heard that it like to chrysal if not properly tillered or overstressed too early. I was planning on making my designs a bit wider and heat treating after floor tillering to try and avoid chrysals. I'd also heard if tillered well it makes fantastic bows that are really fast, with some people saying its their second favorite bow wood. Looking forward to trying it out and it'll be a good test of my tillering skills too.

The first two pics are the Black Locust staves I managed to split out of one large stave in the last picture. They have really nice rings too!
