That is an incredible bow kviljo.  I love the light on dark contrast of the wood.  Justin

A beautiful bow. Any chance of close ups of the knocks without string and then with string on showing how the string attaches into the knocks?

Thanks guys :)

I don't have a unstrung picture of the nocks, but maybe this will illustrate how it's made?

As you can see, the wood peeks through the string slot, and the string has a small spliced loop that is turned into a selftightening loop. A regular loop won't work.

Actually, I've never tried any kind of maple, but I understand it is not too different from ash, so I suppose it would work fine?

Kviljo, that is excellent. It must be also low mass, with walnut and ash. Let us know what distance it does.
The tiler is superb.

 :)

It weighs 25,57 oz. According to Badgers formula, it should weigh 26,75 oz at 29" and 95#.

I shot it some more tonight, and the upper limb developed a few small compression marks, so I will adjust it a little to prevent them from developing further. Still, it only follows the string 1,25" on the lower limb, and 1,5" on the upper.

Looking forward to beeing able to control it fully, and see what distance I can get out of it. I'll let you know.
