Thanks to all of you.  I'm not in a hurry, but my plan is to pick up a tube of thin super glue when we make out weekly trek to town tomorrow.  :)  I think I will sand the heck out of the bow since the tiller was pretty darn close already.  I will take a little off of the limb on both sides of the cracks first.  Once it's clean, I will string it and put all of the glue that I can get to go into the cracks...before unstringing it.  Once the glue is dry, I will wrap the entire area...with something.  I have sinew/hide glue, artificial sinew/super glue, or even FF string and super glue...whatever is best.  Thanks again.

That crack on the edge would be giving me fits, hope it doesn't run out on you Bob.

The trouble with the artificial sinew is it is basically waxed nylon/Dacron and the wax messes with the glue bond. I'd go with the real sinew myself and hide glue or titebond. It's worked for me in the past.

Oh, and that's after doing the superglue repair you have planned...

I wouldn't use artificiall sinew, it is vastly over rated.

Sinew makes a nice wrap and can be done neatly if you use long strands, I use thread because it is quick, I wouldn't have been able to do any sinew wraps in the field at tournaments like I did with thread because of the curing time and not having the materials on hand.

Here is one of my sinew wraps, it is probably stronger than the thread wrap. I did try to stretch the wet sinew some before I wrapped the bow limb. I probably used backstrap sinew for this wrap, longer strands of leg sinew would work just fine.

Thanks Eric and Paul.  I just returned from "town" and the local super  center didn't have thin super glue, so I will order some today.  I do have silk thread (arrow wrapping) as well as sinew.   :OK
