My head is kind of exploding here! I’ve seen a bunch of attempts at all wood bows like that and none of them turned out, until now. I’m really impressed!

Great recycling. I'd be  curious to shoot that bow, before and after the procedure, just to see the effects of that modern middle part.

Thanks guys, it was a fun Saturday afternoon project. And it took a little sting away from losing the bow they came from.

simk - the shot is unique. It's hard to feel that the limbs are osage self limbs. It feels more like a typical fiberglass sandwich R/D would. I have a feeling, if they hold together, that my osage/yew/boo limbs are going to really perform.

wonderful idea! Makes me think if I can do something similar to salvage some of my worse staves (I've never spliced billest and this seems "easyer")
