I came across this bow-making survey from Curtin University Australia.

Two surveys are being conducted for research on bow-making. The first aims to understand how many bowyers are experimenting with Australian woods, what species they have used, and their experiences. It is targeted at Australian bowyers but anyone can respond. You can access the survey here:

The second survey is more relevant I guess, and is seeking people's input on the suitability of different global wood species for making self-bows. You can access the survey here:

It asks for which woods you have used to make bows, and how you rank them (from poor to excellent).
