I am getting ready to do deer hunt in November,, I am shooting now at 8 yards,, just to get my form drilled in,, I have found if I am very consistant at close range,, it is not a hard transition to extend my range,, and I will work on that when I have a bigger space but right now, the practice at close range will help me get in shape for longer shots,, in years past, when I would go to the mountain to stump shoot,, my long range shooting came back really quickly if my form was consistant,,hitting a water bottle at 40 yards,,was not uncommon,,for deer I hope for close shots under 15
