Bow fishing
« on: July 22, 2021, 04:03:34 pm »
Been watching a lot of you tube bow fishing. Looks like a lot of fun. I’ve built me a tin can reel but don’t have any arrows yet.
Probably be next spring before I get to go much.

Anybody done much of this?

It is a huge amount of fun! Currently working on making a rig that will work with modern bowfishing reels with a wood bow. I shoot a lot of gar cause I eat em and a carp here and there to freeze up for cut bait. Don’t care for the purely primitive route, I prefer a reel and modern fishing arrows. They fly different so it’s important to learn how your arrows are flying before hand.
