I wonder what kind of epoxy did they infuse the wood with?  Selfbows are a lot thicker than 1 mm, but you could probably make a clear glass backing out of hickory >:D

Now you just need to locate some elusive clarified calfskin for backing, and the bow will be invisible!  Just don't set it down in the woods...

It would be fun taking an invisible bow to a shoot...everybody would think you were just flicking arrows off your finger.  "How the heck is he doing that???  :o"

(I wonder how many of our brilliant Stars will make the Trek to connect the dots on that comment?)

Ahhh yes, number 4, "The Voyage Home". (Yes, the one with the whales...) and proof to the adage that the even numbered Star Trek movies didn't suck.  ;)
